The Trans Agenda

Happy Friday! 🌈 and welcome to...
The Trans Agenda.  🤫

 ::Secret handshake 🤝🙌::

The category isssssssss NOPE. I was reading about the trans affirming cruise in one of the headlines and imagining what that would be like. Seeing shirtless trans men proudly showing their top surgery scars makes me happy. And fellow trans women untucked in bikinis sends me to the moon with joy. (Yikes! This is a tucking company!) It makes me think of the many trans only events, performances, etc where I was just another trans in the crowd. Did I feel safer? You betcha. Did I feel happier? YES! But the only reason they existed was because the organizer created very strict boundaries and delivered a large variety of NOs.

I guess I’ve been spoiled by the boundaries I’ve created in my life. Oh, you listen to Joe Rogan, welp see you in hell. Ahhhh so you’re a cisperson who understands that gender is a social construct and that everyone uses various means to express their own personal gender identity—lets get married.

I wasn’t always like that. I was too gosh-diddly-darn nice. And too much niceness can hurt like sugar on pearly white teeth. No, is abrupt and disruptive. It can sting. But it’s SO VERY NECESSARY. I dare you to practice saying no. Please, say it with me: No. No! NO! While smiling or looking in the mirror. Nope.

I took me a long time to learn this lovely two letter word, but it's the reason most days feel like a trans only cruise. Today, I’m going to make a point of giving something a hard NO. I hope you will too.

The Trans Agenda is NOPE
